Rejsby Hede Wind Farm

Rejsby Hede Wind Farm
“Hede” in Danish means both heath and heat. Thus, the name of the 39 Vattenfall-owned turbines at Rejsby Hede Wind Farm in Jutland, Denmark, might be misinterpreted, because instead of producing heat, the wind farm generates electricity.

Rejsby Hede Wind Farm characteristics

Rejsby Hede Wind Farm is owned by Vattenfall and consists of 39 turbines from Bonus Energy, each with a capacity of 600 kW. The turbines were erected in 1995 near Tønder in southern Jutland. It has an installed capacity of 23.4 MW and was the largest wind farm in Denmark at the time. Today it is Vattenfall’s third largest wind farm in Denmark, after the wind farms of Horns Rev and Nørrekær Enge.
