Sas van Gent

Sas van Gent
Vattenfall is building a solar park in Sas van Gent, a town west of the canal that connects Ghent to Terneuzen, close to the Belgian border.

The site covers an area of around 16 hectares. 12 hectares will be used for the solar park, while the remaining 4 hectares will be used to integrate the solar park into the surrounding landscape. Trees and shrubs will be planted for this purpose.

Vattenfall intends to supply 90% of the electricity generated by the solar panels to local businesses. The remaining 10% will be supplied to households in the region.
