Prinses Ariane

Prinses Ariane
Formerly known as Wieringermeer, the wind farm was officially renamed Prinses Ariane wind farm in an opening ceremony in 2020.

Based on its expected annual energy production, the Prinses Ariane wind farm could meet the average electricity consumption of around 181,300 households. This estimate is based on an average annual consumption of 2,600 kWh per household.

Thanks to close cooperation with Staatsbosbeheer, the Dutch state forestry agency, four of the wind turbines could be erected in the Robbenoord forest.
