Vesterhav Syd offshore wind farm has been in operation since 2024.
Vesterhav Syd is located off the coast of Jutland, between Søndervig and Hvide Sande. The wind turbines are arranged in a single row with an almost direct north-south orientation, around 9 kilometres from the coast.
Along with Vesterhav Nord, Vesterhav Syd was one of the first offshore wind farms in which local residents and holiday home owners could buy shares. Nearly 2,400 people took advantage of this opportunity.
The maintenance of Vesterhav Syd is managed from a service office in Hvide Sande, which opened in 2023 and also serves the Vesterhav Nord and Horns Rev 3 wind farms.
