Leringsforsen power plant is situated on the Gimån river in the municipality of Ånge. It was built between 1942 and 1944 and uses a Kaplan turbine.
With an installed capacity of 9 MW, Leringsforsen is the smallest of Vattenfall’s large-scale hydro power plants. It has a head of around 16 metres.
The Gimån river is a tributary of the Ljungan river, which it joins at Torpshammar, and is 80 kilometres long.
