Gejmån power station is situated on the river Gejmån, a tributary of the river Umeälven within the Tärnafjällens mountains, about 350 km from Umeälven's outlet.
The plant, which was commissioned in 1970, utilises the fall section between the lakes Bleriken and Övre Björkvattnet. The gross head (drop) is about 250 metres.
