Hemweg 9

Hemweg 9
Hemweg 9 is a gas fired plant in Amsterdam taken in operation in 2012.

Hemweg 9

Hemweg 9 has a capacity of 440 MW and an efficiency of 59% – among the highest available for gas-fired plants. The plant is  fitted with a built-in unit to capture nitrogen oxides (NOx), which  contributes to very low emissions. Initially, the power plant only generates electricity, but it is designed to supply heat as well (cogeneration), making it possible to increase its total energy efficiency further in the future.
